Righteous Doctors

I had a unique experience when I had my pre-op appointment with my primary care doctor. After going over all of my results and his giving me the go ahead for the surgery. He asked if there was anything else he could do for me. I just made the comment "say a little prayer for me" he immediately said. May I pray for you right now? Will you hold my hand? He took both of my hands and then he proceeded to give a most beautiful prayer for me and for the surgeon that will be doing the knee replacement. It was pretty amazing all the things he included in that prayer. I have always prayed for the doctors , but it is only the second time I have had a doctor pray for the patient. When my sweetheart had his heart surgery his heart specialist prayed for him and for herself that she would be able to know the right choice for her to repair his heart and that she would be able to use her skills and training to help him and that he would heal and not have any infections.

That is a beautiful example of having our prayers answered and knowing that we always will rely on a loving Father in heaven to lead and direct our lives and actions. What a tender moment it must have been. I too will be praying for you. You have been lead to a doctor who is aware of his place in the grand scheme of life. I love when you can feel that your prayers are answered.
Love,
Erika

That's wonderful you found a doctor like that. Here in the south that's how it is- people don't just say, we'll remember you in our prayers, they really do it! I'm sure your surgery adn recovery will go wonderfully!
