The pup-dogs I hope

Okay, now you can see what is going on constantly since we brought Poquito home. they actually wear themselves out going around and around. It is fun. Now that I think I know how to do this, I am going to bed. PaBu and Shirl have already signed off. End of lesson for me.

More and More Pictures from Bandon

I hope the pictures eventually show up on this spot. I have several videos and it is going to be interesting to see what shows up. You know I am pretty much clueless. Oh, well .

Poquito in dad's pocket.

Woah! this is pretty scary. Now if I can just remember what I did to get the video thingy to work.

Granddog Toby November 2007

I took these picture while visiting with Heidi's family in November 2007. Toby was such a sweet and gentleman dog. We all miss him. We just did not know at the time that he was going to be leaving so soon.

More of this and that!

Well the previous post was probably confusing enough. I am still practicing. I am still trying to post a video.
Picture of a regular size apple with two super giant apples. Yep! they made great apple pie. One apple per pie.

It is another rainy Friday in Bandon-by-the-Sea

First peek at new baby Bayli.

The four Fuchs Girls, Bayli is only about 5 minutes old.

Shirl and me at the Cheyenne Mt. Zoo in Nov. 2007 . Just like always a little bit tipped over. How do I turn the picture right side up???? The date on picture is not correct.

Pabu Baby posing for picture.

Bandon Sunrise before the big storm of December 2007 .

Here I am again trying to learn how to use this space better and make it more fun. I love reading and being able to share with family and friends their blogs. We do live in an exciting time with all the means of communication that is really out of this world. More and more miracles in our lives and our young ones seem to understand it and just seems like normal event to them.
I am going to try and add some more up to date pictures and try to learn how to add the music and other fancy stuff. Please be patient with my trial and error .

The story of Poquito

This is Poquito (little bit). Our new addition. After our trip to the doctor with Shirls poor swollen leg and the doctor told us the capillaries were breaking because of all the swelling and blood thinners. The doctor said "keep it elevated as much as possible" . We were on our way out of the medical center and I thought I would have a much more comfortable ride home if I visited the restroom. When I came out of the restroom Shirl asked me if I had my check book. ???? Well, yes. Then he said you may want to go over and see what that woman has. I looked over and the woman was holding two little puppies. When I looked at them I saw they were Chihauhau puppies and so tiny. I asked if I could hold one and I had just planned to hold him and give him a little love and then give him back to the lady . But when Shirl said "is that the one that goes home with us? He then took the puppy and tucked him inside his coat so I could write out the check. Thus, we now have "Poquito" (little bit)

Just a few more pictures

The river meets the ocean
. The light house across the river from the South Jetty.

The seals and sea lions are just over the top of the log. The dark spot is one of them.
Well we did have a great afternoon. After we left the Jetty we went to the library and then back to the dock and had a cup of the famous Umpqua ice cream. What a great way to spend Valentines afternoon.

Happy Valentine Day

We enjoyed a lovely day in Bandon. We decided to celebrate this day of love by doing something we both love to do. We went to the Bandon Fish Market and bought fish and chips. Then we drove out to the South Jetty and enjoyed watching the ocean and the seals and sea lions and of course we had to share part of our chips with the ever friendly seagulls. One "big boy" thought the front of our van was just for him to set on and watch of eat. We called this one the "Captain" then we had some great waves and I tried to take some pictures.
Our lunch was really good and we did enjoy it with the company of the gulls. I tried to take pictures of the seals and sea lions as we had at least five of them off the South Jetty. No luck in getting their pictures.
We had some pretty big waves and as they hit the North Jetty some big plumes. Shirl was a happy beach comber as he just walked along the beach for a short distance and found about 6 Or 7 good size agates. This is where the picture is suppose to be, but I have not learned how to get them where I want them. Instruction anyone?? They all show up at the top.

Take a look at the Coquille River Lighthouse that is being restored and they have painted it back to the original colors. Seems strange as we had always seen it as all white. Check later for more pictures.

One more time

Oh, I finally did it. This is a picture of the Christmas cactus named "Melba" It is the original plant that was given to my mom when my sister Melba was born. It decided to start blooming the week of Christmas and just before we left for Houston. This is what is left of all the blooms. You might know it did most of it's blooming while we were in Texas and this is what we found when we arrived home. It has been beautiful and it is still blooming with several more flowers. Keep in mind this plant is at least as old as my sister.

This little beauty queen is "Angel". I could not resist taking her picture while we were visiting Eric and Erika and Alex in Texas. She is just a bundle of love and really sweet. The "Shadow" cat is the other little queen at the Texas Stewarts and is so sweet and fun to love.

Now to figure out how to get the pictures in the right place????

Okay I will try one more time.
This precious puppy is my PaBu with her big old stuffed lion. She loves to sleep with on the sofa. She will gather up all of her toys and place them around the lion so she can sleep with them.

Okay now I have a strange lighthouse. Not one I am familiar with but it is a lighthouse. ?????? Enjoy!

Still working on the picture

Today was another exciting day in the life of living by the sea. We did not have rain today, but last night was a real doozy of a storm. Scared PaBu so bad she came tearing up the stairs and jump right in the middle of the bed. She usually sleeps downstairs. Today we just had a light fog and a little sun between the clouds.

We did make a short trip to the library and that was about all the excitement we have going on now.

It was a nice surprise to hear from Alyssa it was very brief. We will hope to hear again soon.

I am going to try again to find a picture to post and see if it works. I just can't seem to get it right.

Okay, I will try this again. First off, my darling is home and pretty much back to normal. I am ever so happy to have him home. I am just not sure that he is as happy as I am. He says, he had just finally gotten the nurses trained to bring him jam for his toast and ice for his water. Oh, well now if he wants jam for his toast he can get it himself and the same with the water.

PaBu was so excited to see him, that she actually fell over her front feet and flipped over on her back when she realized he was actually getting out of the van. One very happy pup-dog. She had spent the whole week on the floor staring at the front door waiting for him to come through it.

We have had two days with a little sun and blue sky between rain showers which has been nice since we had a solid week of solid rain, sleet, snow. Oh, yes we have had snow about 1 inch all over Bandon. I can do without the black-ice, but the rest was okay. The one day I drove up to the hospital the snow on all the trees along the highway was truly beautiful. I just wished I had, had my camera. We had some pretty awesome waves and I wanted to post pictures, but have not yet discovered the secret of how to do that. My girls have given me further instructions and said they will walk me through it when I am ready to try again. We shall see.
