Notice Poquito ears. Both are up and indicate that he is getting to be a big boy. He really is a very big attitude boy and so full of trouble and busyness.

May 2008

I do have some new pictures and will plan on posting them tomorrow. I have had a wonderful weekend. I enjoyed all my birthday wishes on Friday and then we had a wonderful Tai dinner at the Tai Tai Restaurant in Old Town. I spent the day just doing some fun things that I enjoy. Taking a nap with the pup-dogs, reading a good book, going for a quick drive with Shirl to deliver some mail to the Post Office and some shopping for chocolates and little bags for the Branch Mother's Day gift to the mothers in the branch. Shirl did a great job of finding all the delicious chocolates and some from Cranberry Sweets he bought pretty little sacks with flowers and added the assortment of chocolates and then he tied them with a pretty bow. All the mother's were very pleased with their bags of chocolate. He even made up special sacks of sugar free for the diabetic moms. I enjoyed tagging along with him. I will post pictures tomorrow.

April is Flying by soooo fast

Well, we have started a pretty good recovery from the "Spring Colds" last week was not so good but this week is already so much better. We have had some really crazy and mixed up weather. You name we have had it and all within a days time. We spent yesterday in Coos Bay purchasing all the little "dinky" items we need to take to China with us . We will be leaving in two and a half weeks and I am so not ready. Scary. It seems so strange? funny? ironic? whatever that everything we had to buy here in the US has " made in China" on it. Why are we going to China ? I don't have to worry about bringing gifts back for anyone as everything is already here at Walmart, KMart, Macy's, Penney's etc. Crazy! The only thing I bought yesterday that was not made in China was a fold up walking cane and it was made in Taiwan. Oh, well I just plan on having a good time and seeing all the historic sights. Hopefully, we will also be able to meet some of the people. I will give a full report when we return. Wo gai zou le (I'd better be on my way" Zai jian (good-bye)

Here it is April 5th so soon.

I cannot believe that it is April already. Seems the slower I get the faster time seems to go by. This is April Conference weekend and this morning we watched and participated in the Solemn Assembly in the first session. We had the opportunity to sustain the new First Presidency of the Church. It did seem strange to not have our dear Pres. Hinckley, but it was also comforting to see Pres. Monson. We really enjoyed both sessions today and look forward for the Sunday sessions.

We are concerned about our sweet Carolyn. She is having a very difficult time right now trying to recover for the fall and the result of the surgery to repair her broken shoulder. Now she is dealing with embolisms in the lungs. and the doctors are considering placing a filter to prevent any clots from going into the heart. She is in our prayers constantly.

Well, I wanted to post a nice picture. I cannot find it now. I will try later
love to all
