More of the same
We have had a lot of rain this last week, with a couple of sunny days. Today was another half and half. Sun and rain. We did a short drive to the Stockfords to have a board cut so Shirl can repair the upstairs porch railing and he also bought a lattice piece to repair our gates in the fence. The temperature is actually pretty cold. We took the pup-dogs with and they enjoyed the ride. We did hire a couple of brothers to do the fence repair from the big storm in December that litterally broke and tore the fence down. It is good to have the fence back up.
I have no idea what this video is all about, but am sure it is something with the dogs.

March 26,2008 Not pretty,
This is a view of Shirls swollen leg from the DVT. It has been well over a month and he is still having swelling. Tuesday he did get a pressure stocking and it does seem to be helping. The color is almost back to normal and much of the swelling in the foot is better. He still has a lot of swelling in the upper leg.

Poquito is growing too fast
Okay, everyone here are the newest pictures of our two "bratdogs". Poquito has finally gotten bigger than the "Tony the tiger". When he first came we was actually smaller than the toy. He is tall enough now that last night he came all the way upstairs by himself. He was so proud of himself that he started to bark when he reached the top. Sweet PaBu is pretty patient with him and they love to chase each other all around. When they get tired PaBu goes to her spot on the sofa and Poquito runs inside his little travel box and takes a nap.
The "wee" Irish tea and other nonsense
The "tea" was fun and everyone seem to enjoy. I have somewhat recovered with the help of my Shirl and a night of rest. It was fun to be able to finally use some of my pretty cups and teaset. Now I can pack it all away and hope to be able to do it again. Maybe next year.

HAPPY ST. PATRICKS DAY
It is my turn to have the tea party for my little group of friends. It started about a year ago and we get together every few months for an afternoon tea. Herbal tea and juice is preferred drink of course. I wanted it to be fun and something to do with the season of spring. It is March so of course the idea of celebrating the green of St . Patricks was my choice. It finally all came together and we did have a fun time. It was pretty traditional "Irish" with cucumber, radish, salmon, and meat (turkey) and egg finger sandwiches. With lemon curd, clotted cream and jam for the Irish soda bread along with little dainty cream puffs, and of course cream pound cake with strawberry and "Like Devonshire cream". It was not complicated to do, put I would never have made the deadline if my "darling sweetheart" had not come to my rescue. He made all the little dainty finger sandwiches for me. My hero saved the day so I could enjoy the time with my friends. Then he took our pup-dogs for a drive while I partied.
